Also known as World Telugu Museum, Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam was opened with an aim to showcase Telugu’s historical significance and culture in great detail.

 

Nestled on top of the Kailasagiri hill, the Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam is a place where you can catch glimpses of our history from the light and sound show that is complemented by the voice of actor Sai Kumar. It is a well-maintained and structured museum that gained popularity in no time and has become a favourite place for tourists to enjoy their visit at least once on their Vizag tour.

 

Surrounded by mesmerizing hills, lush greenery and a pleasant atmosphere, the outside view from the museum is really impressive and you can click innumerable pictures to bring some amazing memories back home.

 

History and Architecture of Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam, Visakhapatnam
Constructed in the year 2015 and inaugurated by the ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam features a white domed building with walls adorned by beautiful Kalamkari art work paintings.

 

Home to more than 70 portraits, the entrance room displays the pictures of the famous personalities who were born and brought up in Telugu society. These include Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, freedom fighters, litterateurs and awardees of Jnanpith and Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

 

Another highlight of this museum is its rotating table that allows you to witness the audio-video presentation of 58-minutes giving an in-depth insight into how the Telugu language originated. Adding to this are approximately 200 sculptures of Tirupati Temple, Mosque, Amaravati region, Hyderabad, Telugu Thali, Coins, Thousand Pillar Temple, Poetess Molla and many more. Other than that, you can also treat your eyes with ten Lepakshi paintings that are gorgeous and worth seeing.
